Rebecca joined LSHTM as a Research Assistant in July 2023. She holds an MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing, jointly delivered by LSHTM and the London School of Economics. With clinical experience as a dentist in both public and private sectors in New Zealand, Rebecca brings a health practitioner’s perspective to her research. Her transition into research reflects a strong interest in translating evidence into policy. She is particularly passionate about finding equitable and just solutions for climate and public health issues. Rebecca contributes to teaching within the MSc Climate Change and Planetary Health programme.

Rebecca is a Module Organiser for the module Fundamentals in Climate Change and Planetary Health. She a personal tutor and thesis supervisor for students on the MSc Climate Change and Planetary Health.
Research
Rebecca’s research focuses on the intersection of climate change and public health, with a particular interest in the health co-benefits of climate mitigation actions. She is part of the Pathfinder Initiative, which aims to generate and translate evidence to inform ambitious and equitable climate action.
