I co-organise the Introductory Course in Epidemiology & Medical Statistics (The Gambia). I also run a number of Statistics short courses in MRCG at LSHTM.
Research
My interest is the application of statistics/mathematics in medical research. I've thus been involved in research on a range of topics including health effects of air pollution and occupation in relation to mortality, hospital admissions and cancer, chronic diseases research such as DM and CVD using large electronic health records in the UK. I've also been working as clinical trial statistician/co-investigator on studies including nutrition supplemetation and vaccine trials and evaluation of vaccine impact after PCV introduction in the Gambia and West Africa.
