Project Manager
I am a Senior Programme Manager with extensive experience of working with African and Indian NGOs - in particular ZAMBART based in Zambia, Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and Desmond Tutu TB Centre (DTTC), Stellenbosch University, and Health Systems Trust in Cape Town. I am responsible for the operational management of several large multi-centered projects, including: preparing, managing and monitoring program budgets, drafting protocols, advising and coordinating partner reporting, mentoring our partner institutions on all aspects of grant and project management, and assisting in the preparation of grant proposals.
I am currently managing the TREATS study (Tuberculosis Reduction through Expanded Anti-retroviral Treatment and Screening) which is a £10.5m project that will examine the effect of ‘testing and treating’ a whole population of sub-Saharan African communities in tackling TB and HIV. We are also partnering in a project held in the same communties to try and understand the epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 and the inter-relation of COVID-19 with TB and HIV in Zambia. Both projects is part of the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership, (EDCTP2 programme) supported by the European Union.
