I graduated with a BSc in Statistics from the Athens University of Economics and Business in Greece. I completed the MSc Health and Society: Social Epidemiology at the University College London and a second MSc in Socio-biology, Neuroscience and Education in the Department of Education in the National University of Athens, Greece. Since 2018, I have been investigating inequalities in cancer care and cancer outcomes as a research fellow at LSHTM. I completed my part-time staff PhD entitled "Inequalities in Cancer Care in England: from diagnosis to treatment" in 2024.

Teaching
I have been teaching in several modules of the MSc in Epidemiology for a few years, including Basic Epidemiology, Statistical Methods for Epidemiology, Statistics for Epidemiology and Population Health and Design and Analysis of Epidemiological studies. I co-organise Epidemiology of Non-communicable Diseases in term 2. I also supervise face-to-face and distance learning MSc projects.
Research
Since joining the School in 2014, I have been involved in various projects looking at cancer outcomes at national (England) and international level. Since 2018, the main focus of my research is to describe the population burden of sociodemographic inequalities in cancer care and outcomes and identify their potential causes. My research interests are always evolving and the next steps include building on evidence to make specific recommendations for interventions that would help address these inequalities.
