I moved to London for university in 2020, where I studied at University College London and obtained a BSc Applied Medical Sciences. Initially intending to work in biomedical research after graduation, I grew interested in public health during my final year of studies after doing a module on infectious diseases in resource-poor countries.
Research interests or career goals
Being new to the field of public health, there are many topics of interest to me and I hope to explore and narrow down these interests during my time at LSHTM. Right now, my research interests are leaning toward equity and healthy ageing. I am also particularly interested in health policy analysis and evaluation.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
Besides the School’s reputable standing in the public health field, I was also drawn to how passionate the community was about making a difference and improving the health of others, so studying MSc Public Health at LSHTM felt like a good place to do the same.
