Educational/professional background
Originally from Taiwan, I’ve been living in the UK for almost 20 years now, having also studied in Dublin and worked in Singapore in between. I started off my career as a medic who then switched to the industry side for almost a decade, including agencies and pharmaceutical companies. My non-medical career has mostly been focused on data analytics and strategic insights.
Research interests or career goals
Nothing excites me more than medical innovations and advancements. My mission is to leverage that intersection where healthcare meets technology and data, to ultimately make a valuable difference to health outcomes. While the specifics of my next role are still crystallizing, my goal is to align my passion with my work and realise my vision of delivering (social) impacts to patients and doctors.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
By pursuing the MSc Health Data Science, I am honing the skills necessary to contribute to digital health and data insights. I have decided to come to LSHTM as I wanted to be surrounded by like-minded people with a common goal of improving global health. Through the School's extensive network, I aim to connect with leading experts, refining my career aspirations in the process.
