Educational/professional background

I graduated from the University of York in July 2022 after studying BSc Biology and have come straight to LSHTM to complete my MSc. Whilst completing my undergraduate, I trained as a Mental Health Champion and ran sessions for staff and other students about recognising warning signs and how to provide support to those in need, including giving information about where mental health support could be accessed at the university and beyond.

Research interests or career goals

I am completing the MSc Public Health - Health Promotion Stream and have an interest in Women’s Health (particularly Menstrual Health), Mental Health and End of Life Care (quite diverse areas of study!). I also have an interest in evaluation and am keen to work on the ground with communities in the future, although I am still determining an exact career path. I plan to complete my master's project in the area of menstrual health. 

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

I was drawn to LSHTM, and particularly MSc Public Health by the wide range of modules, as well as the opportunity to join a diverse community of students and staff. Due to being such a prestigious place to study, the school attracts so many interesting individuals with such a wide variety of experiences. I have loved learning from other students just as much as learning from the incredibly skilled academics here at the school.
