This scholarship, with a total award value of GBP 3,000.00, was established by an alumnus of LSHTM to honour Professor David Bradley, a member of staff at LSHTM in the 1980s.

The awards are available for MSc projects where the focus is on HIV, malaria, or Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) research.

Successful candidates will be made awards of between GBP 500.00 and GBP 1,000.00.

Applications will be assessed on relevance (HIV, malaria, NTD research); the scientific merit of the proposal; and the submitted budget for feasibility and reasonable economy.

Eligibility for funding

However, the country visited for the MSc project must not be the ‘home’ country of the scholar, and neither should the institution be that at which the scholar was working prior to becoming a student.
