Andy studied Applied Social Studies at the then Polytechnic of North London, including a year's research placement at the Centre for the Study of Primary Care, in Tower Hamlets. He then completed an MSc in Computer Science at http://ucl.ac.uk . He joined the School in 1991, working for four years in the Epidemiological Monitoring Unit, and for nine years attached to the Centre for Population Studies; after a long spell as IT Support Manager for EPH, he now works full-time developing and supporting systems for the School's REF submission management, and other research information systems.
