Suping completed her medical degree in Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Wuhan University (China) in 2014 and her PhD in Cancer Epidemiology at Centre for Public health, Queen’s University Belfast (Northern Ireland) in 2018. She then moved to the University of Leicester (Leicester Diabetes Centre and Department of Health Sciences) to do post-doctoral research using electronic health records data. She also holds a BA in Translation and Interpretation (English/Chinese). In June 2021, she joined the School as Assistant Professor in Epidemiology within the Inequalities in Cancer Outcomes Network (ICON) group.

Research
My research mainly focuses on non-communicable disease epidemiology and inequalities in cancer care. I am accepting research degree students who are interested in the use of electronic health records data and advanced statistical methods.
