Dr Hannah Blencowe joins Dr Ana Maria Buller and Dr Aduragbemi Banke-Thomas as Co-Director of the Centre for Maternal, Adolescent, Reproductive and Child Health (MARCH).

Hannah has been a longstanding member of the MARCH Centre, joining the Centre in its infancy and previously leading the Child theme. Her appointment builds on her deep commitment to strengthen research, education and advocacy in the fields of maternal, newborn and child health as well as empowering the next generation of researchers and public health practitioners.

Dr Blencowe joins the directorship in steering the Centre’s strategic direction as it continues to unite over 550 researchers across disciplines to improve the health of women, children and adolescents worldwide.

Hannah said: “I’m delighted to be taking on the role of Co-Director. It has been fantastic to contribute to driving forward the mission of the MARCH Centre over the past year, which has marked a pivotal period of change for the Centre’s direction.

“I look forward to working with Ana Maria, Aduragbemi and the wider MARCH community to help shape the next phase of the Centre’s work.”
