How do patient mobility & migration affect health systems in South Africa

How do patient mobility and migration affect health systems and outcomes - evidence from research in South Africa

This seminar will present findings from a health systems research grant focused on understanding how patient mobility affects health systems and in turn health outcomes, with a specific emphasis on maternal and child health. It presents initial findings and framework development from mixed-methods research undertaken in South Africa during 2015/16. Key themes explored are how to measure impact of health systems changes on health outcomes, and how migration more widely relates to health systems.
