I graduated in medicine (MBBS) from India and completed postgraduation (MD) in Community Medicine from Banaras Hindu University, India (2009-12). In 2017, I completed PH-LEADER Fellowship jointly awarded by Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, USA, Public Health Foundation of India, New Delhi, India and Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública, Mexico. Before joining LSHTM, I worked as Non-communicable Diseases (NCD) Regional Technical Advisor Southeast Asia (SEARO) TEPHINET, The Task Force for Global Health, Inc. GA, USA.

I am a deputy module organizer for CTM101 (Fundamentals of clinical trials) and I also teach on EPM 101 and EPM301 modules.
Research
Non communicable disease prevention, maternal and child health, and nutrition are my core research interests. Currently, I am involved in CHAMPION2/STRIPES2 cluster-RCT in India, which is examining the effectiveness of complex health and education interventions on neonatal survival and children learning abilities, respectively.
