Ms Bea Savory

Research Assistant in Food & Health

United Kingdom

In 2022 I completed my MA in Anthropology of Food from The School of Oriental and African Studies, where I used ethnographic methods to explore the ideological and systemic barriers to school food reform in England.

Since I joined LSHTM in 2022 I have been conducting fieldwork and analysing qualitative data for the MRC evaluation of takeaway 'exclusion zones' around schools in England.

As part of the ESRC-funded SALIENT project I will be conducting qualitative research into interventions to encourage healthier and more sustainable food behaviours.
