Dr Hannah Painter
After completing a BSc in Biochemistry with Industrial Experience at the University of Manchester between 2008 and 2012, I worked as a scientific copy editor and medical editor for four years. I completed my PhD at LSHTM under the supervision of Helen Fletcher and Andrea Zelmer as an MRC-LID studentship. The project focused on immune correlates and the host response to tuberculosis vaccination in the mouse model, using the mycobacterial growth inhibition assay, RNA seq and flow cytometry. In January 2021 I returned to the school as a research fellow to work on an NIH-funded project which aims to establish a murine model of TB-CMV coinfection.
