After completing a BSc in Biochemistry with Industrial Experience at the University of Manchester between 2008 and 2012, I worked as a scientific copy editor and medical editor for four years. I completed my PhD at LSHTM under the supervision of Helen Fletcher and Andrea Zelmer as an MRC-LID studentship. The project focused on immune correlates and the host response to tuberculosis vaccination in the mouse model, using the mycobacterial growth inhibition assay, RNA seq and flow cytometry. I currently work as a research fellow across two projects at LSHTM. The first is an NIH-funded project (PI - Helen Fletcher) which aims to establish a murine model of TB-CMV coinfection, and the second is in the TB drug discovery group at LSHTM (PI - Anil Koul).
