I am interested in a range of approaches with the end goal of reducing health inequalities in access to best practices around the world. I am specially interested in the effects of the consequences of climate change on climate sensitive diseases and health systems in vulnerable regions of the developing world. Prior to joining LSHTM I worked in iccddr'b, Bangladesh on a project evaluating the effects of high temperatures on the disease distribution in populations specially vulnerable to climate change. It was analysed from a gender lense of the specific implications to women and their health. I am also the co-funder of the LSHTM internal community of practice on reducing C02 emissions in research projects.
At LSHTM I am currently working as a research coordinator for the Plus Project, evaluating perennial malaria chemoprevention. I support the impact evaluation, process evaluation and decision tool development as the focus person for Cote d'Ivoire. Additionally, I lead the equitable partnerships work in the project as I have a special interest on making global health research more equitable through close examination of our current practices.
I studied a BA Biomedical sciences graduated Cum Laude and an Msc on a Erasmus mundus scholarship program on One Health and Infectious Diseases graduated with mention 'Tres Bien'
