I lead the User Support & Information Services Team in the Library which is responsible for all user-facing services. This includes training and support, membership, access and enquiry support, the Leganto reading lists service, inter-library loan and document delivery services, and liaison with Library users.

I have expertise in providing literature searching support for systematic reviews and have contributed to a number of projects including the Lancet Commission on Planetary Health and the WHO Guidelines on Hepatitis B and C testing. ORCID: http://orcid.org/0000-0002-7329-0577

I provide bibliometrics support to the School and have contributed to reviews of our collaborators and in benchmarking our work against our national and international competitors.

I am responsible for the conservation and preservation of our rare books collections. As part of this work, I led a project to digitise over 2000 of our rare books and pamphlets. These are available for use under a creative commons licence via the Internet Archive/Wellcome funded UK Medical Heritage Library

Teaching

I lead the LAS's Information Services Team which provides teaching and support for all School staff and students on a variety of information literacy topics.

If you would like a literature searching session for your LSHTM student cohort, or for your research group, please email the team on infoskills@lshtm.ac.uk

The team can also arrange one-to-one appointments with staff and research degree students. Again, please contact infoskills@lshtm.ac.uk to arrange.

The team can help with the following topics:

  • Literature searching, including for systematic reviews
  • Finding full text
  • Bibliometrics

Research

I can support staff conducting literature reviews and systematic reviews. Please contact me to arrange an appointment.

I am also available to conduct a literature search for your project at pro-rata rates. Please contact me to discuss this further, or complete the form on Service Desk (LSHTM staff only).

I can advise on the use of bibliometrics to assess your research impact and can provide help and advice on setting up an ORCID profile, improving citation rates and evaluating research using bibliometrics.
