Meet Priya – Senior Trials Advisor preparing for DMC responsibilities
Priya is an experienced senior member of staff within her Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). Over the years, she has contributed to the development and delivery of numerous trials and is now increasingly being asked to serve in oversight roles, particularly as a member of Data Monitoring Committees (DMCs).
While Priya brings extensive operational and strategic experience, she recognises that serving on a DMC requires a specific understanding of interim data analysis, stopping rules, safety monitoring, and the statistical principles underpinning adaptive trial oversight.
