The demand for robust, evidence-based decision-making in healthcare continues to grow globally. To meet this need, the Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at the University of York, in partnership with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), is offering its 5.5-week online Decision Modelling Foundations course 2026.

Running from Monday 4 May to Wednesday 10 June 2026, the course is designed for professionals familiar with the basic principles of economic evaluation who wish to build, interpret, and appraise decision models.

Participants typically come from the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, consultancy, academia, and health services, and will gain practical skills that can be applied directly in their work.

The course combines flexible online learning with weekly live Q&A sessions and interactive discussion boards, allowing participants to engage with expert tutors and peers while learning at their own pace. Participants can choose between Excel or R exercise tracks, providing hands-on experience in building and analysing decision models.

A 25% discount is available for eligible participants from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), as defined by the World Bank.
