Health Care supply and demand in low income settings: poverty, choice and information
This talk will review evidence, based on two decades of field research, on health care behavior by the very poor in developing countries, and the implication these have for the supply of health care. What do people know and not know about health? What are their attitudes regarding preventing and curative care? How does an informal market develop in respond to this demand, and what are the implication of these unregulated sector for health?
Outside visitors will be met at reception 10 minutes before the start of the seminar.
