Song of Contagion

Why is treatment for some diseases so well-funded, while others are virtually ignored?

Composer Tony Haynes and epidemiologist Elizabeth Pisani are collaborating to bring this inequality to public attention through music. By matching factors like media coverage or geographic spread to musical elements such as pitch, rhythm or volume, they aim to create ‘profiles’ for different diseases. This will be realised through a series of workshops, leading up to a dynamic and exhilarating show!
