Japan-UK Global Health Networking Reception
Nagasaki University is renowned for its work and research into infectious diseases, and has a long history of collaboration with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, which now includes a formal link with the new School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health (TMGH).
This September, to celebrate this valuable partnership between the two institutions, we would like to hold a networking reception at the LSHTM, during the school’s annual LSHTM week. This event will provide a good opportunity to meet many leading researchers in the field of infectious diseases, global health and epidemiology, along with key policy makers and funding agencies.
Participants can also learn more about research collaboration opportunities between Japan and the UK, with information provided by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED). Professors Koya Ariyoshi and Kiyoshi Kita from Nagasaki University will also join this special occasion.
This reception is co-hosted by the LSHTM and the Embassy of Japan in the UK, and will be a chance to enjoy some Japanese sake and food, and to meet a wide range of people in this important research field.
