Host gene expression biomarkers for diagnosis of infectious diseases

Host gene expression biomarkers for diagnosis of infectious diseases

Dr Myrsini Kaforou

Dr Kaforou is a Senior Research Fellow in Bioinformatics at Imperial College. Her research focuses on the identification of host biomarkers for infectious diseases from genomic data using machine learning techniques and statistical modelling. She is particularly interested in the integration of multiple “omics” datasets to improve diagnosis and understanding of the host response to disease, and has published seminal work in tuberculosis.

Hosted by Dr Jackie Cliff & Professor Hazel Dockrell
