7th Emergency Environmental Health Forum

The informal Emergency Interagency WatSan Group (ACF, Care, ICRC, IFRC, IRC, Oxfam, MSF, UNHCR, and UNICEF) is delighted to invite you to attend and submit abstracts for the 7th Emergency Environmental Health Forum (EEHF).

The EEHF will be held directly after the WASH Cluster meeting in Kathmandu, Nepal. The SHARE Research Consortium and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine are supporting the informal Emergency Interagency WatSan Group with the organisation of the EEHF.

Objectives: The principle aims of the 7th EEHF are:

  • To encourage the exchange of field-level experiences;
  • To share new approaches and innovation in the sector;
  • To strengthen humanitarian agency institutional memory;
  • To keep field staff up to date with current research and evaluation findings;
  • To help to identify subjects in the emergency environmental health sector that need more research.

Theme: The theme of this year’s EEHF will be Creative WASH Initiatives: exploring research, field practice and new technologies. Other innovative sectoral learning will also be presented.

Call for abstracts: We invite you to submit an abstract of no more than 300 words for presentation at the EEHF.

The abstract should include a clear description of the proposed presentation, including the objective of your presentation, the content that you will present, and key lessons learned that are of value to the sector.

The presentation time will be strictly limited to 15 minutes, and we are interested in presentations that demonstrate innovation in the field and share lessons that will be of value for agencies in the sector.

All abstracts should be sent to [email protected] by midnight Eastern Standard Time (New York) 1st August 2016. Those submitting abstracts selected for presentations will be informed no later than 31st August 2016.
