I am a Research Fellow at CMMID, LSHTM. My research integrates mathematical modelling with immunological, virological, and epidemiological data to explore how previous infections and vaccinations shape immune responses to influenza and SARS-CoV-2, and to investigate how antibody markers are associated with protection against infection. My previous work includes applying advanced statistical models in seroepidemiological studies of enterovirus, influenza, and measles among neonates, young children, and pregnant women; estimating the effectiveness of the EV-A71 monovalent vaccine; reconstructing the historical force of infection for multiple enteroviruses in China; characterising viral shedding patterns of SARS-CoV-2; and assessing the disease burden of COVID-19. I obtained my PhD in Epidemiology from Fudan University, China (2020-2024), and undertook an internship at Institut Pasteur, France (2023).

Research
My research interests focus on linking biomarker data with infectious disease dynamics to understand host-pathogen interactions, immune correlates of infection risk, and their implications for pandemic preparedness. Open to collaboration to advance research and create meaningful impact.
