I am a public health professional with nearly a decade of experience in healthcare with focus in health economics and policy research. Currently, I am a Research Fellow in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy at the LSHTM, and also serve as Adjunct Faculty in Health Economics at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), India.
Before joining LSHTM, I worked as a Senior HTA Specialist at the National Health Authority, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. My previous roles include appointments at the Center for Global Development (UK), Abbott India Pvt. Ltd., and HTAIn (HTA body of India housed under the Department of Health Research in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) where I contributed to capacity building for HTA and the generation of evidence to inform resource allocation decisions at the national level.
My research focuses on the costing of healthcare services, the design and revision of Health Benefit Packages (HBPs), and the economic evaluation of health technologies. I have contributed to both regional and national initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, equity, and financial sustainability of healthcare delivery, with a particular emphasis on health insurance, strategic purchasing, and the pricing of healthcare services in India.
