I trained as a medical doctor and work as a dermatologist in Vigo (Spain). After my MSc in epidemiology at the LSHTM (2009), I started working as Director of the Research Support Unit of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology, where we provide epidemiological support for clinical research, systematic reviews and guidelines.

Research
My main research areas are related to drug safety and clinical research in dermatology. I am the coordinator of Biobadaderm (a cohort of psoriatic patients receiving systemic therapy ongoing since 2008) and a member of the scientific committee of Psonet (a network of psoriasis patients registries). I have also participated in different studies, such as prevalence studies, systematic reviews, guideline development, randomised clinical trials, and other clinical research studies in the field of skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases.
