Res - LSHTM-Nagasaki University Joint PhD Programme for Global Health - Epidemiology & Population Health

United Kingdom

I am an obstetrician-gynecologist with keen interest for public health.

I undertook undergraduate medical studies at the University of Yaounde 1, where I completed a residency program six years later. Then I did a research fellowship in Oncogynaecology at the Geneva University Hospitals. I paused my clinical activities for one year to study a MSc in Public Health (Health Systems & Disease Control) at the Institute of Tropical Medicine – Antwerp.

Before my residency, I worked as a general practitioner for two years in public hospitals in the Far North Region of Cameroon combining clinical work with managerial duties as a member of the health District team. After graduating as an obstetrician-gynecologist, I served at district and regional levels in West Cameroon.
