I am an environmental epidemiologist investigating the health impacts of climate change among migrant populations in Brazil through the integration of individual- and environmental-level data. My research spans global health, climate change, and socio-spatial health inequalities. During my postdoctoral training at the Université de Montréal, I examined violent conflict and healthcare access in the Sahel region, as well as COVID-19-related socio-spatial health disparities in Canada. I hold a PhD in Medical Informatics, specializing in spatio-temporal modelling of infectious diseases, with expertise in advanced quantitative methods and geospatial analysis. My work is focused on health inequities affecting vulnerable populations worldwide.

Research

My research interests lie at the intersection of environmental epidemiology, climate change and global health. I focus on understanding how environmental and socio-spatial determinants shape health inequalities among vulnerable populations. My work integrates advanced modelling to investigate the impacts of climate variability, extreme events, conflict, and built environment factors on morbidity and mortality. I am particularly interested in infectious disease epidemiology.
