I am currently working as a Research Assistant in the Study of Early-Life Exposures During Developmental Stages (SEEDS) group at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), where I use large-scale linked administrative data to investigate infectious diseases during pregnancy and their long-term health outcomes in offspring.
I hold a PhD and a Master’s degree in Food, Nutrition and Health from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), including a doctoral exchange period at LSHTM. I also completed a Clinical Nutrition residency at UFBA. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition (CRN-5 9586) from the State University of Bahia, with an exchange period at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (Biochemistry/Nutrition).
I am a collaborating researcher at the Center for Data and Knowledge Integration for Health (Cidacs/IGM/Fiocruz) and a member of the Nutrition and Environment Research Group (GNUT) at Cidacs. My work focuses on epidemiology and nutritional epidemiology, particularly maternal and child health, child growth trajectories, health inequalities, and social determinants of health.
I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and a Laughter Yoga instructor.

Teaching
I am assisting with the Distance Learning Epidemiology MSc programme at LSHTM, particularly the "Fundamentals of Epidemiology" module.
Research
I am part of the Study of Early-Life Exposures during Developmental Stages (SEEDS) group at LSHTM, where I work with large-scale linked administrative data to investigate the relationship between infectious disease exposures during pregnancy and the risk of cancer in offspring. With a strong interest in social inequalities in health, I am also currently analysing socioeconomic inequalities in childhood cancer in Brazil.
I also collaborate with the Grupo de Estudos em Nutrição e Meio Ambiente at CIDACS/Fiocruz Bahia, contributing to research on gestational weight gain and its impact on birth and neonatal outcomes using population-based cohort data.
My broader research interests lie in life-course epidemiology, social epidemiology, and nutritional epidemiology, including child growth, maternal and child health, eating disorders, and nutritional interventions for obesity management.
