Before LSHTM, Hugh had experience in journalism and healthcare communications, including winning several industry awards for strategy, innovation and data.

Hugh joined the International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) in 2020 and works across their research, education and knowledge arms to help them achieve their mission of eye health for all. He also manages public engagement projects that give back to the community in areas where research is undertaken.
