Dr Anna Ascott

Clinical Research Fellow

United Kingdom

I intercalated an MSc in Public Health at the school during my medical degree at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Once I graduated as a doctor, I did my general medical clinical training in Sussex before specialising as a dermatologist. I have continued to develop my interest in research (and particularly in epidemiology) alongside my clinical training. I am currently working towards a PhD at the school as an NIHR doctoral fellow. I am exploring health inequalities in atopic eczema, focusing on minoritised ethnic groups.

I am an editorial board member of the Community Skin Health Journal which is a resource for healthcare workers in under-served areas. I am active within the British Association of Dermatologists, working on clinical guidelines and research using National Disease Registration Service data.
