Educational/professional background

I hold a Master's degree in Public Health and I am currently also enrolled in the PhD programme for Public Health here in Austria.

Research interests or career goals

I am very interested in statistics and study methods as well as in epidemiology of non-communicable diseases. After finishing my studies I hope to be able to continue doing research especially in epidemiology of mental health. In the future I would love to work on epidemiological studies using big data as well as being a tutor.

Why I chose LSHTM/my course

I wanted to specialise in epidemiology and statistics and started looking for a suitable study programme that would provide me with the appropriate skills. There are many reasons why I applied for the LSHTM, their well-known reputation and high international connection being only few of them. The Epidemiology by distance learning programme is the perfect opportunity for me to study epidemiology while still working full-time. This way, I am also able to directly apply the newly gained knowledge into my daily work.
