MSc Control of Infectious Diseases
I recently graduated from University of Surrey with a First-Class Honours in Biomedical Science during which I undertook a Professional Training Year (PTY) at Public Health England as a Research Scientist.
Research interests or career goals
My interests include health education, medical communication, health system strengthening and the translation of scientific evidence to health policy. I aim to use my interests to help people stay in good health, my knowledge and skillset in collaborative efforts to contribute to health development in Nigeria and worldwide.
Why I chose LSHTM/my course
My decision to study at LSHTM was encouraged by meeting alumni while at Public Health England who recommended the university. This coupled with personal reading about the expertise within LSHTM motivated me to apply to study here. The MSc Control of Infectious Diseases offered the rare chance to learn from experts in the field of infectious diseases and also offered networking opportunities to allow me to make meaningful contributions in public health while studying and in the future.
