Research interests and career goals
The main areas of my interest are the metabolic effects of body composition on cardiometabolic health and the relationship with genomics. Another area of my focus is the need for effective self-management programme for chronic conditions in low and low-to-middle income countries, as these countries often face obstacles such as low literacy and numeracy levels, cultural difference and economic issues.
Why I chose LSHTM/my course
My passion for epidemiological research sparked in my undergraduate course when undertaking module on methodology in research. Studying the MSc Epidemiology at LSHTM was a clear choice as the School has amazing reputation and influence in global health research. We are taught by the experts in the field, which is truly incredible. LSHTM has great facilities and support. Being in such a diverse environment with students and staff from all around the world is truly enriching.
