MSc Demography & HealthContact Lily Bishop
I have an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Bristol, and I have since gained experience working in Project Management.
Research interests or career goals
I am interested in contemporary population challenges and the impact of rapid economic and social change on patterns of mortality, fertility, and health across all income settings. I am particularly interested in health inequalities that persist within and between countries, and the excessive burden of disease and ill health experienced by some marginalised populations.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I specifically chose the MSc Demography & Health at LSHTM because I wanted to strengthen my quantitative skills and the course offered rigorous training in demographic methods, statistics, and data analysis. I am interested in mixed-method approaches to exploring local perceptions and barriers to effective health promotion, and this course offers the flexibility to gain skills in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
