MSc Health Policy, Planning & FinancingContact Emmanuel Soma
I come from a background of Humanitarian and Development work in South Sudan in both clinical and program management roles in Health and Nutrition working with various NGOs (ACROSS, IRC, CARE, Samaritan’s Purse) and the Ministry of Health.
Why I chose LSHTM/my course
I chose the MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing as it is a unique course that cuts across key pertinent issues with regards to health policy and health financing, economics and cost-effectiveness studies a key skill-set in more advanced future roles that I intend to work in. The course is offered in conjunction with the London School of Economics and quite flexible in choice of units that appeal to one’s career path. I am interested in researching health policies and financing options in low- and middle-income countries. I look forward to an exciting year with great possibilities that lie ahead after leaving this great institution successfully.
