Educational/professional background

I hold a medical degree from the “Sapienza” University of Rome. In 2019 I enrolled in the Italian speciality training program in Public Health, during which I developed experience in international research collaboration and healthcare management. I worked in Italy in hospitals and healthcare districts; and abroad in UAE, supporting consultancy activities for strengthening health systems, and in Bolivia, enhancing pandemic response capacities in health facilities and indigenous communities. I am studying MSc Public Health - Health Economics stream.

Research interests or career goals

I am highly interested in the fields of health system governance and health economics, as well as health services delivery research and management.

My pursuit of a career in public health is driven by the goal of contributing to the decision-analysis process to build broad and sustainable improvements in population health through collaboration with international organisations and delivering relevant interventions to different parts of the world.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

I chose LSHTM because it is a world-renowned public health research institution, and for the interdisciplinary modules offered, so that I could explore my interests in more depth while enhancing my skillset in the field of health economics. I am confident this stream would arm me with the necessary capabilities to continue on the path I have already taken during my previous working experience, thus serving me well in my career goals.
