MSc Health Policy, Planning & FinancingContact Bénédicte Bicaba
I graduated from the University of Washington with a double degree in Medical Anthropology/Global Health and French. I run an educational INGO in Zigla, Burkina and worked for a Seattle NGO on homelessness advocacy and housing.
Research interests or career goals
I have a strong interest in global health governance and capacity building in all regions of the world with an emphasis on social impact. I believe in the power of big data and when coupled with anthropological research methods can design well rounded and targeted policies.
Why I chose LSHTM/my course
I was drawn to the MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing because of its connection to LSE as well as LSHTM. I believed that this opportunity would give me a well-rounded education and exponentially grow my professional network. I wanted to learn how global health actors plan, finance and develop policies especially in the global south; HPPF has all these components. Additionally, we are able to tailor our course-load to meet our needs and desires, which is not true for other programs with set courses.
