Before coming to LSHTM, I received my BSc. in Biological Sciences at Chapman University in Orange, California.
What I enjoyed most about studying my programme at LSHTM
If I had to really narrow down my favourite aspects of being at LSHTM, I think the tops would be being surrounded by infectious disease/public health experts daily. It was incredibly inspiring to go to the lectures, both uni-wide and those specific for the IID program.
The great thing about being in London is you really have top immunologists in all areas of expertise either within LSHTM, or just a train ride away. This allowed for exceptional in-person lectures of all topics. Additionally, one of the best things I did was perform my three-months research project in The Gambia, which is something I most likely would never have had the opportunity to do if it wasn't for LSHTM.

After finishing the MSc, I started my PhD at the Luxembourg Institute of Health, focusing on the role of the gut microbiota in health in disease, with a specific focus on food allergy. I plan to defend my thesis at the end of summer 2021.
