In 2018 I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 1st class honours degree in Biological Sciences. In 2018/19 I studied the MSc Epidemiology at LSHTM through the MRC London Intercollegiate Doctoral Training Partnership. Through my master's I developed my advanced quantitative skills. In September 2019 I began my PhD in the Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases with Professor James Logan and Dr Rachel Allen (SGUL) where I am investigating human attractiveness to malaria mosquitoes.
Research interests or career goals
I am currently studying for a PhD in disease control at LSHTM. My research interests include entomology, microbiology and epidemiology. My aim is for a career in infectious disease control.
Why I chose LSHTM/my course
LSHTM has a world leading reputation and fantastic facilities. The staff here are experts in the field, they are often willing to help and offer support even to students in different departments. I chose to study my masters and PhD here to gain the skills I need for my future career.
