All distance learning students are registered both with the School and the University of London International Programmes. This dual registration does not affect the qualification you receive at the end of your programme – you will still receive a University of London award just as our face-to-face students do – but the certificate will reflect that you are a student of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and University of London.
After you receive your offer
Once you have received your official offer, you will be given access to the International Programmes Student Portal. From the Portal, you will be able to register for your programme and modules, pay fees for programmes and modules you are taking and update your personal details.
Paying your fees
Information about paying your registration and programme fees can be found on the University of London International Programmes website.
If you are taking the PG Certificate, PG Diploma or MSc you can either pay the initial registration and full programme fee, or the initial registration fee and the fees for modules you intend to study during that year. It is not possible to pay and register for modules throughout the study year.
After you register
Once registration is confirmed, and from the beginning of October, you will be able to access the virtual learning environment Moodle, the School’s Library & Archives Service resources and the Assignment Management System. In addition, you will be issued with a University of London student email account.
How to contact us
The School’s distance learning programmes are run in collaboration with the University of London International Programmes. There will be times when you have a question or a problem which needs attention and you need to know which institution to contact:
- Academic queries (e.g. module content or assignment queries) should be posted on Moodle, while queries about study progression or module choices can be sent to the School's programme support teams (Clinical Trials / Demography & Health / Epidemiology / Global Health Policy / Infectious Diseases / Public Health). Queries from non-registered students can be sent to the School at email@example.com
- Administrative (e.g. registration, examinations, transferring programmes) or financial queries (e.g. paying fees) should be sent to University of London International Programmes via the ‘Ask a question’ tab in the Student Portal or via the online enquiry form
