Introducing LSHTM 13:30 This session will give you an overview of life and study at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Representatives from our three faculties will provide a snapshot of our research covering all aspects of public & global health, infectious & tropical diseases and epidemiology.
A Career in Global Health 14:30 From ministries of health to academia; from charities to industry; from the lab bench to the field: our graduates go on to work in variety of roles worldwide. This talk with our Careers Service will give you insight into where a degree from LSHTM might take you next. Followed by Q&A session 15:00 - 15:30.
The Future of Food: Eating for Planetary Health 15:30 In this sample lecture Prof Alan Dangour, Director of the Centre on Climate Change & Planetary Health, untangles the web of food choice, drawing on research into healthy eating and the impact of food production on carbon emissions, water consumption and land use, suggesting simple ways we can make a difference.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak On demand We are at a critical phase in the novel coronavirus outbreak and there cannot be any complacency as to the need for global action. This special lecture in partnership with the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK-PHRST) - a partnership between LSHTM and Public Health England funded by UK Aid - includes updates from LSHTM experts involved in different aspects of research on coronavirus and providing expert guidance to those responding around the globe.
