Using Mhealth to improve stroke care in Malaysia

Green slide with LSHTM Event in white text

There are over 12 million new strokes each year. Eighty-nine per cent of global stroke deaths and disability are in low and middle-income countries, where resources for care and rehabilitation are often limited. This seminar will present the findings of a joint project between LSHTM and the Universi Sains Malaysia on the use of Mhealth to provide rehabilitation and support post stroke in Malaysia. The three speakers from Malaysia will describe the rationale for the project, and share the key findings from the pilot study on acceptability and feasibility of the intervention, and their reflections on how it can be scaled in low resource settings.
