RSTMH – Migrant Health Stakeholder Meeting

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is hosting a one-day meeting on Migrant Health in the UK. We are bringing together key stakeholders and decision makers, alongside service providers and users to address some of the UK’s most significant challenges in this area.

At this meeting we will look at gaps in knowledge, explore issues with service provision, and identify potential solutions and research needs, we will focus primarily on two themes:

Mental Health Introductory Speaker – Prof Cornelius Katona, Medical Director, The Helen Bamber Foundation

Child and Adolescent Health Introductory Speaker – Dr Ann Lorek – Consultant Community Paediatrician, Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust

Not only do we have keynote speakers and discussion groups but you will also hear directly from organisations including Doctors of the World, Freedom from Torture and the Refugee Council. The day will finish with the screening of a film about life in the Calais ‘jungle’ followed by a drinks reception and networking opportunity. The draft programme for this event can be downloaded here.

Registration is now open, why not take advantage of our early bird rate valid until 23 November 2016.
