Mental health system development in the Asia-Pacific: Example from Timor-Leste

Dr Ritsuko Kakuma will deliver this talk entitled: 'Mental health system development in the Asia-Pacific: Example from Timor-Leste'

Associate Professor Ritz Kakuma, Programme Director for the MSc in Global Mental Health at LSHTM will provide an overview of her work in Timor-Leste that aims for a holistic and cultural appropriate approach to mental health system development. Ritz will draw on her experience conducting research and advising Governments across Africa, Asia and specific cultural groups in Australia.


The Global Health Lecture Series is held every Monday during the first two terms, with the exception of Reading Weeks. Leading experts from the School present up-to-date summaries and debates about a range of global health issues.  Each lecture is 45-60 minutes, followed by Q&A, and they are open to all students as well as anyone interested in learning more about global health.

Please note the lectures are very popular, so you are advised to arrive early.
