Seeds of Hope - film cover

Global Health Film is a UK registered charity using storytelling through film, animation and immersive reality to spark discussion, enhance understanding, and effect positive social change in all areas of global health including planetary health, access to healthcare, mental health, infectious disease, and refugee and migrant health.

Seeds of Hope is a 72-minute feature documentary filmed and made by Fiona Lloyd-Davies. The documentary follows the story of Masika Katsuva. Masika Katsuva puts herself at risk every day to help thousands of Congolese rape survivors embark on a journey of healing, as they live and work together as a community. Since the outbreak of the civil war which has torn Congo apart, rape has become commonplace and is used as a weapon of war.

At Masika’s centre, a community of rape survivors try to rebuild their lives and support each other.
