History in the making: Ross's slides under the microscope

Explore your Archive week unlocks a prized object in the Ross Collection.

As part of Explore your Archive week, LSHTM Archives have joined scientists at the School to discover more about the School's Library & Archives Services's extraordinary collection of Sir Ronald Ross's malarial slides that he created in India whilst working towards his momentous discovery in 1897 of the link between mosquitoes and malaria, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1902.
For the first time, Ross's original slides have been put under the microscope, with extraordinary results.
Drop by and see images of the School's unique investigations, along with other gems from the Ross Archive collection between 12-2pm on Wednesday 23rd November.
