Film Screening: ‘The Unknown’ & Panel Discussion

Sunday 3 December 2017 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This year’s theme is transformation towards a sustainable and resilient society for all. As part of this, the International Centre for Evidence in Disability is hosting a special celebration.

We will be showing an excerpt from LISILOJULIKANA – The Unknown, including a special introduction by Purple Field Productions Associate Producer Colin Stevens. This will be followed by a panel discussion on projects that support inclusion of children with disabilities in LMICs.

ICED’s Maria Zuurmond, will talk about our work to support caregivers of children with Cerebral Palsy in Ghana, and Dr. Cally Tann, will share evidence on early intervention for young children in Uganda.

The discussion will be followed by a drinks reception to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Event registration is not required. If you are an external visitor, please sign in at reception when you arrive, and a member from the Disability Centre will be waiting in the foyer to accompany you to the Lecture Theatre. If you have any access needs that we can assist with, please contact the Centre
