Designing more efficient trials to accelerate TB drug development: Phase IIC and other approaches

Dr Patrick Phillips is senior statistician at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL in London. He has worked on late-phase clinical trials in tuberculosis for more than a decade, most recently as trial statistician in the REMoxTB, RIFAQUIN and PanACEA MAMS-TB  trials in DS-TB and the STREAM trial in MDR-TB. He leads the statistics core of the PanACEA consortium. He completed his PhD looking at surrogate endpoints in TB at LSHTM in 2009.
